What a blessing!

This summer there were some deer living in the cornfield out at my mom & dads. Deer season opened last week so Jefferson went and bought a tag and went to see if he could get himself a deer without having to go on a hunting trip since he is working 7days a week pretty much. Tuesday he didn't see anything, but he went out again Wednesday with our friend Lewis. They had cut the corn Tuesday so he didn't think they were going to see anything but saw 6 deer walking out in the field in plain sight. They crawled on their hands and knees probably a quarter of a mile trying to stay covered. To keep the story short, my awesome husband, got his first buck. It is pretty good size too--a 4x4--not bad for only being 3 miles from home. It is such a blessing. We had prayed about Jefferson going hunting the night before during familly prayer so it was such a great teaching moment with Shad. We talked to him about how it was an answer to our prayers, and how Heavenly Father loves us and he hears and answers all our prayers and then Wednesday night we were able to teach him that when we receive those answers we need to thank Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for those little moments that help remind us of how simple the gospel is, and how much our Heavenly Father loves us.
