Bazagna

I made lazagna for dinner tonight as we sat down Shad said,
S:"Thanks for making this good dinner mom"
M: "You're welcome"
S: "What is it?"
M: "Lazagna"
S: "mmm...thanks for making this good bazagna mom"
M: "You're welcome buddy"
S: "Dad tell mom thank you for making this dinner"
It was really cute. Lately Shad has been so cute when we sit down for dinner thanking me for everything. He is a great kid.

Dashing through the Snow

We went & got our Christmas tree Monday. Jefferson's parents let us take their 4wheeler up to Idaho City to get our Christmas tree. When we got up there I asked Jefferson if he had put the saw in & he said "No" nonetheless we loaded up & rode up the mountain. We found a great tree, but didn't quite know how we were going to cut it down. We remembered that their was a backpacking shovel on the 4wheeler so Jefferson used that. We had a great time, Shad especially, he loved climbing up the "big huge mountain" in the snow. Needless to say we won't forget the saw ever again.
Saturday we took the kids to the library to see Santa. Shad did a great job telling him exactly what he wants, "a red firetruck that works" Mylee on the other hand sat long enough to grab a candy cane & then she was done. Smart girl grab the candy & run! Pictures to come soon.

4. While wrestling with his older brother his ear was torn off & he had to have stiches

5 quirky things about him:
1. His 2nd and 3rd toes are abnormally long compared to his big toe
2. His hooded sweatshirts have to have a tight waist. He doesn't like them straight or loose.
3. His shirts have to fit a certain way, and if they change after they've been washed he wont wear them anymore
4. He leaves his clothes on the night stand instead of on the floor or in the laundry
5. He can sleep through just about anything.

Birthday getaway

For my birthday Jefferson took me up to Cascade for the weekend with NO KIDS! It was a much needed vacation. Thanks to Brandon and Tonya for taking great care of our kiddos while we were gone. Jefferson and I just hung out all weekend. I think we watched 6 movies. Saturday morning Jefferson woke me up EARLY, and we drove to West Mountain & watched the sunrise. It was so pretty reflecting on the water. We took a much needed nap that afternoon and that evening we drove to McCall to eat at Si Bueno, a mexican restraunt that my grandma used to love. Grandma Perry & Grandpa Bud had taken Jefferson, I & my family there before Jefferson & I were married. That's why Jefferson took me there. He remembered, and I didn't which is not the norm. On the way back we almost hit a deer crossing the street. Saturday night we went to Gold Fork Hotsprings and enjoyed the nice hot water. Sunday we went to church packed up & came home. It was a little dissapointing when I saw Shad & the first thing he said was, "I don't want to go home" He had such a great time playing with the Hunt girls. Thanks Jefferson for a great weekend, and for always taking such good care of me and our family.

Then I'll be dead?

I made three trips to the doctor last week. I took Mylee in on Mon. because she has had a really bad diaper rash (yeast infection) so they gave me a prescription. It was starting to clear up and then she had a reaction to the prescription so I took her back in Friday. Poor girl still has a diaper rash. Shad and I went in Thurs. for his yearly check up, and we decided to get his flu shot. I told him he was going to get a shot. He looked at me concerned and said, "And then I'll be dead?" It was so innocent and sweet. I had to explain it wasn't a shot like dad shot the deer, but a shot to make sure he didn't get sick. Later he told me that I was going to get sick because I didn't get a shot. The kid is way to smart for me. Amidst the trips to the doctor last week I managed to can a lot of pumpkin with mom. Sat. we went and got apples at the church orchard and we started canning them today. So it will be another busy week, but it is totally worth it. The apples cooking down for applesauce smelled so good. I think that is it for now. Hopefully we'll update again sooner than later.

Halloween

Jefferson worked at the maze on Halloween, but was able to get off and come to the trunk or treat with us. Shad was a chicken riding cowboy & Mylee was Tinkerbell. They both looked great & had a great time. Mylee has a blue mouth in all the pics because she got a hold of a lollipop while we were handing out candy. We all had a great time.

Finally an update!

There has been a lot going on lately and no blogging so I decided it was time to update. When dad was working one night Shad & I raked up some leafs and played in them. Shad had a great time jumping in them. Mylee wasn't as thrilled but tolerated it. Shad buried me in leafs and then decided I should bury him. It was a lot of fun just playing.
