Shad and I went to the doctor Tuesday and found out he needs his tonsils out. It wasn't really a big suprise considering that his tonsils are huge & it has caused him to have fluid behind his ears for over 3 months now. Not only does he need them out, but they are taking them out Thursday! I've tried talking to him about it, but I don't think he really gets it. I had my tonsils taken out when I was 3 and I remember going and getting new pjs with my mom so Jefferson & I are going to take him shopping for some new pjs and probably to let him pick out some popsicles and yogurt and other fun stuff that he can eat. Hopefully recovery will go well, but I'm preparing myself to be tired for a couple weeks.

Good luck! I've done this twice now, so don't hesitate to call with any questions. Are you going to the hospital or the surgery center? Is it Dr. Beck? She's fantastic! Follow the recovery sheet--days 7-10 are the WORST! They get better, then worse before they get better. Don't forget to have his drink lots on days7-10, that will help the scabs fall off easier. :) Again, don't hesitate to call. Sirah
