Hide and seek

It won't let me add photos so instead here is a video of Shad and Mylee doing one of their favorite things--playing in the entertainment center. What goofy kids.

18 weeks!

OK, so Jefferson always gives me a hard time. He says, "With as much time as you spend on other people's blogs maybe you should do something on your own." Maybe he is right. Sometimes I feel like I don't have anything to post about, but as I look back we have had lots of fun stuff going on. Shad is loving playschool especially because he gets to see Jenkin & Kiera 4 days a week. As much as he likes going he doesn't like getting up in the morning very much. When I go to wake him up he'll say "but it's still early" it's been pretty cute. Mylee is very head strong. She loves to stand in her booster at the table despite Jefferson and I telling over and over to sit down. If we don't catch her in time we often find her sitting on top of the table. She makes us crazy sometimes but keeps us laughing. Jefferson is still waiting for summer and is getting ready to celebrate his 28th birthday. I am coaching soccer again and enjoying it, the girls on the team are a lot of fun. They won their first game last weekend. I'm about 18 weeks pregnant and the belly is definitely popping out. Shad really wants a baby boy. We were talking in the car before playschool one morning & this is how our conversation went.... S: "I want a baby boy" M: "We don't get to choose if we get a boy or girl" S: "Who chooses" M: "Heavenly Father decides whether to send us a baby boy or girl" a few seconds pass... S: "IT IS A BOY! HE TOLD ME!" I had to laugh. He is such a sweet and smart boy. In a couple of weeks we will know if he is right or not so we will keep you all posted.

The best part of the blog

Ok so I know all you want is pictures so here you go. We just got our videos put on the computer. It's kind of old but still super cute.

Shad was potty training which is why he doesn't have any pants on. To this day he usually closes his eyes and makes a funny face when hes rocking out.

Alright, so Shad recovered just fine from his surgery and we are happy to say he is sleeping much much better. Both he & Mylee are getting so big. He'll tell you he's big because he sleeps on a big top bunk! Mylee is in a big girl bed too--yea! Boy does time fly by. Shad starts playschool tomorrow and he is very excited. Today was our first day in our new ward and Shad struggled a little bit. He was really sad that his friend Hailee wasn't in his class. I told him about some of the boys that would still be in his class but that didn't make him feel any better. What can I say he likes the girls. Smart boy! Jefferson is ready for summer--more specifically to be on the lake. I woke up the other morning to find him watching his wakeboarding video. Maybe I'll get it together in the next couple days and get some pics. posted, but don't hold your breath. I don't want anyone to be too disappointed.

BIG MONGOUS

Today was the day! Shad's tonsils and adnoids are gone. He was so cute at the doctor this morning. They had a talking tractor (Scoop from Bob the Builder) and he took that back to play with. He and Jefferson had a great time digging "dirt" and "building a new school" while we waited. When the doctor came back I told Shad who he was Shad said "hi, my tonsils are BIG MONGOUS" the doctor got a kick out of that & so did all the nurses that heard him. Everything went fine. He was very whiny coming out of the anesthesia and kept saying he was freezing. While we were sitting there he heard scoop talk & he started to cry cause he didn't know where he was. The nurse went & got it for him & he was better. I think he stole the hearts of all the nurses. He kept saying "I'm not feeling very well" poor kid. As we were leaving the nurse that was caring for him when he woke up said, "he's a heart breaker" you could tell she felt bad for him. Everyone at the surgery center was great. Hopefully he'll be feeling much better in a couple of weeks. For now lets just hope that he keeps sleeping!

Poor Boy

Shad and I went to the doctor Tuesday and found out he needs his tonsils out. It wasn't really a big suprise considering that his tonsils are huge & it has caused him to have fluid behind his ears for over 3 months now. Not only does he need them out, but they are taking them out Thursday! I've tried talking to him about it, but I don't think he really gets it. I had my tonsils taken out when I was 3 and I remember going and getting new pjs with my mom so Jefferson & I are going to take him shopping for some new pjs and probably to let him pick out some popsicles and yogurt and other fun stuff that he can eat. Hopefully recovery will go well, but I'm preparing myself to be tired for a couple weeks.

Check out those eyes!

Where have we been? Honestly--nowhere. With the hustle and bustle of the holidays and just being busy as a mom our blog has been neglected. Really I guess I haven't updated because we are so boring, but if you care here are a few things that have happened. We had a great Christmas. Shad got the big red firetruck that he wanted and Mylee got a cabbagepatch. Mom got clothes and Jefferson was very suprised to get the flag case I gave him (thanks to Leigh). We had lots of fun hanging out with family and just being home. Jefferson had to work New Years Eve but we did manage to go & hang out with some friends before he left. New Years day we went up to Cascade and spent the weekend up there. Unfortunately we had no snow while we were there just rain that made the existing snow icey. However we still had a great time watching movies and playing phase 10. Shad is officially out of Nursery. He is a big Sunbeam & loves singing. Mylee is going to Nursery and loves it. Mom & Dad love it even more. Shad is very excited to be starting playschool next month. Alright so that is what we are doing. Not too exciting but an update nonetheless.
