Pictures pictures pictures

Brace yourselves for picture overload. It took me forever to get all these pictures on here and then I lost some of them while trying to get all the big gaps out. Nonetheless they are here and now that I have caught up somewhat maybe I'll stay on top of it.

Life happens

In June this year we welcomed another beautiful girl to our family. Oakley Jude is such a good baby and we love having her in our family. Shad has loved her since the second he saw her, but had a melt down when he found out she was a girl. My mom was bringing the kids up to see her, and had put some clothes together for her, and Shad says, "Grandma, sometimes my dad kids, do we have some boy clothes, just in case?" What a sweet boy. He is a great big brother to all of his sisters. August came and so did my big girls birthdays :) Mylee turned 4 and according to her she "feels older" Mylee is such a good helper and is very sensative to other peoples feelings. She is all girl and loves to wear skirts and princess shoes. She also loves playing with her baby dolls. Every baby doll in our house has been named Oakley and Mylee and Lorna are often found pushing the babies in the doll strollers or feeding them their bottles. They are such cute little moms. Lorna turned the dreadful 2. Although I think shes had the attitude of a 2 year old for quite a while. She is one stubborn child, lucky for her she is cute, sometimes its her only saving grace. Lorna loves playing with her brother and sister and absolutely loves to have her picture taken. Her favorite part is seeing the picture when your done taking it. Now onto my boy who is grown up and a big kindergartener! We had been talking to Shad about how his dad could give him a blessing before school started if he wanted so Sunday night before bed he received a very special blessing. When he was done Lorna went and sat in the chair, and that lead to all of us receiving blessings. It was a very neat experience and one I hope the kids will remember. As I tucked Shad into bed he said, "Mom, I liked my blessing" I told him I was glad and asked if he knew who all those neat things had come from to which he replied "Heavenly Father" My boy knows that his Heavenly Father loves him! I went to bed and was so emotional. The water works started my boy was going to school and I wouldn't be there to protect him from the mean things kids might say or do. I won't be there to make sure he's not the kid being mean. I had so many thoughts and emotions and yet after all of it, I knew he would be ok. He went his first full day and rode the bus home. The girls and I walked out to get him off the bus and he was happy to see us, but got on his scooter and was half way down the street before I had even turned the stroller around. His independence is hard for this mom to take. Part of me just wanted him to tell me how much he missed me, and yet thats not the way it works. He is growing up and theres nothing I can do to stop that, I just have to enjoy the little moments. More to come later & pictures I promise but for now I'm going to go and enjoy my littles.

Time flies when you're having fun

I know it's almost been a year since I have posted anything, how sad is that. Even sadder is that I'm not going to take the time to download any pictures with this post! However, I am going to try to update on all of the fun and important things we have done in the past 11 months :) First things first...Shad boy turned five in October and we had a great time celebrating his birthday at the corn maze again. Emillee and Jared were here and came up with a cute treasure hunt for the kids to do and they all had a great time. November I turned 28 and celebrated having my husband home again in the evenings after the maze season ended. During Thanksgiving break Jefferson and I were able to go and do sealings at the temple with my parents and 6 of my 7 siblings and their spouses--it was such a neat experience. Thanksgiving day Jefferson announced to my family that we would be having another baby by saying he was "thankful for good swimmers" Shad and Mylee and even Lorna were a lot of fun at Christmas this year. They were all happy with what they got. Shad got a remote control helicopter, Mylee got 7 princess barbies and Lorna got a drum filled with other musical insturments (what was Santa thinking?) Jefferson had the whole month of February off, and it was a lot of fun to have him home, but he did go down to Arizona for a couple weeks with my bro in-law so we missed him. Spring went by really fast...Jefferson turned 30 in March and we also celebrated our 7th anniversary by spending a night at the anniversary inn we had a ton of fun and it was nice to get away without the kids before we added another one to the mix. As fast as spring went by this summer has flown. In June we welcomed our sweet baby girl Oakley Jude Hunt. She has been such a blessing. Her brother and sisters love her so much even though Shad bawled when she was born and he found out she was a girl. He wanted a brother so bad, but fell in love with her as soon as he saw her. Jefferson is staying busy with work and I am staying busy with 4 kids under the age of 6! In the next few weeks we will be celebrating girls birthdays and the boy will be starting school. He is so excited and I am excited for him. That's what we have been up to, and now that I am kind of caught up I can find all the pictures that go with these various things & post them in the near future. If you read all of that you really do love me, or you just have too much time on your hands. :) Either way, thanks for checking in on my neglected blog.

Happy Birthday

In August we celebrated Mylee's 3rd birthday and Lorna's 1st birthday. Saturday Mylee's birthday started out with Daddy making pink pancakes for the family. Everybody loved them! Birthday girl checking out the cakes
Lorna obviously approves

No complaints from MyleeShads all smiles
Grandma Patterson came and took our princess to lunch and shopping. She had a great time and came home with a very cute baby doll. That afternoon we met some friends at Lakeview Pool and went swimming. Shad loved the big water slide. Mylee went down it once and was done, but she had lots of fun playing in the water. Lorna loved playing in the water and wanted to walk around all by herself.
Playing on the swings waiting for Grandma to pick her up.

Mylee is in the 25% for her weight and 75% for her height. She is sassy and makes us laugh all the time. She loves babies and is a great helper, especially with Lorna, and folding laundry.
Sunday we had family over for cake and ice cream to celebrate both the girls birthdays. Mylee wanted a barbie cake so mom gave it ago and made a pink barbie cake. It definitely wasn't perfect, but Mylee loved it and that's what mattersI made a butterfly cake for Lorna & thought it turned out really cute. Jefferson added the eyes and the smiley face. Good work Dad
Lorna, is getting so big, her walking is turning into running, and her personality is really starting to show. Anything her big brother and sister can do she thinks she can do too. She says: Dada, Moma, Gad(Shad), good girl(this is what she calls our dog Casey) hi, go, and much more of her own language. She is in the 25% for her weight and the 50% for her weight. Her scream gets everyones attention because it is high and shrill, and we're patiently waiting for her to out grow it. She has 4 teeth and is a happy baby girl.
Happy birthday girls! We love you so much and are so glad you are part of our family.
