Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. Friday we had some friends over and colored eggs. The kids had a blast. We had a few spills and some cracked eggs but nothing too bad. Overall it was just a fun night with good friends.
This sheet wasn't white when we were done!
Leah showing Amelia how its done
Shad & his cheeeeesy grin
Mylee checkin out what Amelia is doing.
Saturday the egg hunts began. Jefferson got up and went to the city hunt with us and we all had a great time.
Waiting for the hunt to start
More waiting but with some friendsAnd first prize goes to.....Shad!
Can you believe it? Shad won this cool bike. He was so excited.
We had two more egg hunts this weekend--one with the Pattersons and one with the Hunts. It was a lot of fun hanging out with family. The kids made a haul.

Enjoying the sun

This past week we had some nice days so we loaded up and went to the park. The kids had a great time. We were the only ones there which made it so much more enjoyable. Dryson going up the rockwall
Cute Kiera on the slide
Lil miss Smiley Mylee
Shad making his way to the top. He loved this wall & was really good at it.
Gotta love cousinsJust another one of Shads funny moments. Shad holding up his Lightning McQueen underwear "Mack you're a genuis....Mack you're a genuis. Mom, Lightning's truck is a genuis like my dad is a genuis." I have to say Shad is a genuis too.

Mylee's new do

Before
After

I think it makes her look like a little girl instead of a baby. She is so cute and we get lots of compliments on it. I'm just waiting for the day that she will actually leave a barret or bow in it.

ultrasound, funnies & mullets

I went in for my ultrasound yesterday & we are having a girl. The pics I got are amazing and when I get a chance I'll post them. They were done in 4D. The only bad part is that our little girl is camera shy and her head was behind the placenta so no head shots. When we were leaving the doctors office Shad was walking with Jefferson & he said, "Dad, you are a cool little man." I couldn't help but laugh. He says so many funny things. When we got in the car he asked "Where is our new baby sister" I told him that she was still in my tummy growing, to which he replied, "But I want to have her" I had to explain that she was still way to little to be born that she had to keep growing and he was ok with that. When he was talking Jefferson said, "You really need to write this stuff down." He told me that with as funny as Shad is I should have stuff to blog about everyday & he is probably right. This weekend Shad's cousin bit him & after we got him calmed down he walked past the biter and said, "You are a mean child" He's hilarious & doesn't try at all. He just speaks his mind and it makes us all laugh. He climbed off my bed the other day and said, "I'm a silly boy" And last but not least, Sunday we were going to some friends for dinner & Shad wanted juice before we left. I told him that they would probably have juice at their house and he jumps up and says, "Super Fantastic!" What a great kid. My sister cut Mylee's hair when she was here. She no longer has a mullet! It's cut in a pretty cute bob & she is so cute. I'll get some pics & post soon.

Busy week--Long update

Last weekend Jefferson and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary and his 28th birthday. For our anniversary we went mini golfing which is what we did on our first date, and then to dinner. We had a really good time even though he beat me by 3. We had dinner with the parents for Jefferson's birthday and it was very good. Jefferson bbq steaks for us. He got this cool collapsible hammock from his parents and both of the kids loved playing in it. Not too relaxing. Shad and Mylee were obviously fascinated by everything he opened. It was a fun night.

He confessed after opening his presents that Shad had blown the surprise. Here is how it happened. Shad climbs up on Jefferson's lap and grabs his face with both hands--"Dad I need to tell you something" J: "ok what buddy" S: "We got you pants a belt and a swimming suit that matches your wakeboard, but its a surprise I can't tell you till your birthday." He couldn't stand to keep the secret and once he got it out he didn't mention it again. What a funny boy. Thurs. My sister flew in from TX and we hung out. She came to surprise my mom for her birthday. My other sister and her family came from Rexburg and stayed with us for the weekend. Friday we all went to Olive Garden for the big surprise. My mom was so funny she came in and didn't have a clue that we were there even when the hostess was trying to seat her at our table. The expression on her face was priceless. Saturday Jefferson went shooting with Jared and Emillee and I went shopping. We went to my nieces baptism then had a bbq. It was a very eventful week. We loved spending time with everyone.

Finally! Ok so here are some pics of the cute kiddos.
Mylee and Shad playing in the fort we made on the couch. Well it was a fort until they pulled the blanket down on themselves
Best friends--a boy and his dad!
I thought she looked so cute with the curlers in her hair unfortunately it didn't last. Nothing I do to her hair lasts. She pulls out all ponytails and wont leave a bow in if her life depended on it. It saddens me but I am learning to live with it.
Mylee sitting on the table. She loves to be up there.
